Sidney Cadot-Sambosi

I started acting in the theatre at the age of 18 in Dom Juan, a collective creation staged on the only original Japanese cypress wood Noh theatre stage (hinoki) built and used in Japan, in Aix-en-Provence, as part of the Spring Festival of Japan. 

I studied philosophy in Paris before deciding to become an professional actress.

Then, I play Estrella in Life is a Dream by Pedro Calderón de la Barca, directed by Jean-Yves Ruf, at the Théâtre du Peuple in Bussang, France. I took my first steps on television in the daily series Ici tout commence on the main private french television station TF1, in the role of Louane Rivière.
Then I played Carla in the short film Vestiges (2023) written and directed by Yoann de Montgrand and Jofre Carabèn.
I played the role of Aya in Yto Legout's play Heureuses qui.
I'm delighted to play Clarisse in the Canal+ series directed by Dieudo Hamadi at the end of 2023, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Passionate about African and diasporic cinema, I am also a film critic for Africiné, Guiti News, Awotele, Prime Cut and Arty Magazine. In June 2022, I had the pleasure of being a member of the jury of African critics at the Khouribga International African Film Festival in Morocco.

I'm also a screenwriter.

My poems are published in issue 4 of the magazine Point de Chute and on the website Sitaudis.fr.
