Séverine A. Berthelot

I am the product of a subtle blend of the North, the South, the West, and the East through my origins and life experiences. I don't have multiple identities; I have a singular one, comprised of all the elements that have shaped it. The potential differences that could have arisen have been transformed into complementary aspects, thanks to quality teachers and coaches such as Antonio Ferreira (Studio de l'Aigle, Paris), Pico Berkowith (Closed Class Sanford Meisner Method), Pascal Luneau, Bernard Hiller (Constantin Stanislavski and Lee Strasberg Methods in Paris & Hamburg), and Enrique Morales, a director (Drama School of Buenos Aires). These elements have unified themselves in service to Creativity and my profession as an actress.

In my childhood, I was often told, "you can't," "you won't succeed"; it seems that didn't work. Determined and hardworking, I view my multicultural background as an asset, especially in this period of change, and I am open to opportunities that align with my profile. With several years in the industry, I know where I want to go. I am a hard worker, and I don't expect everything to fall into my lap (such as meetings with casting directors, closed Meisner Method class with Pico Berkowitch, meetings with directors, sports, voice, etc.)—it's a matter of temperament and life journey, no doubt.

I take initiative and strive to capitalize on the skills I have, and if there are areas to refine or work on, I am ready. I am not perfect, but I make the effort to be as well-rounded as possible.
