Pauline Bernon

Pauline Bernon was born in New Caledonia to a Tahitian mother and a father from Bordeaux. She began her artistic journey at the age of 20 by co-founding the contemporary dance company Origin’, with which she performed notably at the Centre Culturel Tjibaou.

She then left the Pacific to continue her training at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux, where she earned a Diploma in Choreographic Studies in contemporary dance. Her piece Une pièce pour WC was subsequently programmed at the Tous dans la danse festival, presided over by Blanca Li.

Her encounter with Franck Lesne, actor, director, and head of the Théâtre de la Clarté, marked a decisive turning point. She developed her craft as an actress and trained in stage direction, performing roles such as Célimène in Le Misanthrope, Laura in The Glass Menagerie, and Madame Marguerite in the eponymous play. She continues to collaborate regularly with the Théâtre de la Clarté troupe.

Today, her artistic path naturally extends into cinema with the direction of the short film Madeleine, furthering and expanding her exploration of artistic forms of expression.
