Laurent Bariohay

A versatile artist with an eclectic background, Laurent Bariohay has established himself in the film and theater industry through a rare multi-faceted expertise. Trained at Actor’s Sud in Marseille and later at the prestigious Studio Pygmalion in Paris, he developed a powerful acting identity that quickly led him to work in film and television.

On the big screen, he has collaborated with visionary directors such as Luc Moullet (Les Naufragés de la D17), Claude Duty (Bienvenue au Gîte), and Nicolas Klotz (Low Life). In 2010, he played the lead role in Michaël Merle’s feature film Nogodsland. His television career is equally dense, with appearances in popular French series like Joséphine Ange Gardien and Plus Belle la Vie.

Laurent is more than just an actor; he is a creator. A regular at the Avignon Festival (6 editions), he has written and directed over twenty plays, ranging from solo performances to ensemble comedies, touring extensively throughout France.

His deep understanding of the craft also led him to teach at Actor’s Sud for over twelve years.
