Giorgio Cantarini

I’m an Italian actor — and I grew up on set. I was five years old when I first performed, playing a co-lead in Life is Beautiful by Roberto Benigni. Two years later I had a cameo in Gladiator, and I haven’t stopped acting since.
Over the years, I’ve worked in Italy, the United States, and Germany, in both film and theatre, always looking for stories worth telling. I live in Rome, but since 2018 I’ve been regularly traveling to New York for work and training, often for extended stays.
I trained at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and at the New York Film Academy, where I attended the intensive “Acting for Film” program. I speak fluent English and French, and have a basic knowledge of Spanish.
I work with focus, discipline, and deep respect for every crew and department. Being on set feels like home — I know how it works, I understand the rhythm, and I know how to move within it. I step into characters with ease, maybe because I’m naturally empathetic: I listen, I observe, I connect.
To me, acting is never just about performing. It’s about being fully present — and truly taking part in the story.
