“Theater is hard, but it's better than working.” This phrase, uttered by Vittorio Gassman during a television interview, was immediately assimilated by Emmanuel, who, at a very young age, decided that he would never work. From the age of eleven, since he sang continuously wherever he went, he took singing lessons. And since he really didn't want to work, he took up acting. The Stéphane Gildas Academy welcomed him for a three-year course. What's more, wanting above all to have fun like no one before him, he tried his hand at dance. He assimilated so much laziness that he left the course and spent 5 years working in subsidized theater with Christian Rist, Denis Podalydes, Laurent Serrano... Cornelius, Racine, Marivaux, Molière, Voltaire, Emmanuel visited the classical repertoire before discovering contemporary theater, which naturally led him to images. There, encounters with Philippe Harrel, Cédric Klapisch, Rob Letterman, Bruno Podalydes, Catherine Corsini, Jacques Maillot and Diane Kurys, among others, enabled him to roll his thumbs in cinema and television. More work? Why should he?
