I am a Lebanese / German performer and butoh mover.
I graduated with a diploma in acting from the Lebanese Faculty of Fine Arts Beirut and completed my practicum degree in the art of performing at the TAK Germany.
Since 2006, I am a member of the Cologne-based ensemble bodyincrisis.
I have collaborated with internationally-renowned artists and have performed both on-stage and onscreen with directors, dramaturgs, musicians and playwrights who have fled Syria seeking refuge in Lebanon, such as Avo Kaprealian, Sari Mustafa, Zaki Al Hamwi, Eyad Houssami, Al Sayyed Darwish (MC-Rage), Hello Psychaleppo and Omar Al Jbaai.
In 2013, I was awarded for Best Actress of the Year at the ifab, for the role of Fadwa in the feature film and Best Movie of the Year Sur Ton Sein, directed by Faraj Aoun.
I was part of the Münchner Kammerspiele's Open Border Ensemble in 2018 and have toured with Sabab Ensemble, Ensemble Integral, Compagnie Le Minotaure, Compagnie Parnas, and Collectif Kahraba.
I also featured in Avignon Festival and the Volksbühne Berlin in 2018.
I have worked for the SHAHID Platform in Hell's Gate by director Amin Dora.
I also assume the role of body awareness trainer, in schools, universities, with migrant workers and refugees.
After the Beirut port explosion, Alain Saadeh was the first director to work in the demolished streets along with jazz pianist Marc Ernest and myself, performing JUDE, a lebanese adaptation of JAZ by contemporary author Koffi Kwahulé.
In 2022, I produced LEDERFRESSE, by contemporary author Helmut Krausser for the re-opening of the controversial Cinema ROYAL.
