Born in Marseille, Bruce Dombolo grew up in Vitrolles, a few kilometres from the Phocaean city. Spotted for his talents as a footballer, the young man joined the Nîmes Olympique training centre and was selected for the French U16 team. After joining the A.J. training centre. Auxerre, he signed his first contract as a professional in Italian Serie A at the age of 18 at the Ancona Calcio club.
Financial setbacks lead him to banditry and lead him to spend more than ten years behind bars.
Since his release from prison, Bruce Dombolo has been working to raise young people's awareness of the dangers of delinquency, by sharing his experience. He is invited to speak, by the former Minister of Justice, Nicole Belloubet, in November 2019, at the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, and speaks during mainstream programs on France 2, such as Ça commence aujourd'hui and Le grand oral.
In 2021, Akim Isker directed him in the French TV movie
2 The child of a person, with Isabelle Carré and Nawell Madani, shed light on certain realities of children's lives in Children's Social Assistance homes. The director subsequently entrusts him with the role of a lieutenant gendarme in the TF1 series, Visions, carried by Louane Emera, Soufiane Guerrab and Jean-Hugues Anglade. Bruce Dombolo is also in the cast of Sage Homme, a feature film by Jennifer Devoldere, with Karin Viard.
